Lindsay Lohan Photos Continue to Cause Buzz

The Lindsay Lohan photo shoot designed to mirror the images shot by Bert Stern back in 1962 have created a major buzz across the Internet world and has even caused problems for the New York Magazine Web site, home to the Marilyn Monroe inspired pics.

Known as “The Last Sitting,” Monroe shot a series of photos with Stern at the Hotel Bel-Air and the collection became one of the most defining images of perhaps the greatest pop-icon tehworld has ever seen.

More than 45 years after those pictures were taken Stern recreated the shoot with Lindsay Lohan as the subject and opted to title the series as “Lindsay Lohan as Marilyn Monroe in ‘The Last Sitting.’”

Despite knowing that most people who have viewed the photos were chasing after nude images of her 21-year-old daughter that didn’t seem to bother Dina Lohan who said, ““It was very tastefully done. I respect the photographer as an artist, so I look at them artistically. For him to call Lindsay 46 years later to say you can recreate these photos is an honor. I looked at it as art, and as Lindsay doing a character.”
