Fairy and the seven-coloured flower

Once upon a time there was a girl named Maniha. She always loved to help others. One day when she was playing in the park, she heard someone crying. When she tried to locate the voice, she came to know that the voice was coming from one of the flowers. She went near the flower and found a fairy crying there.

When the fairy saw her, she became frightened. “Don’t be frightened, I will not harm you,” Maniha comforted her.

The fairy asked, “Who are you?”

Maniha introduced herself to the fairy and enquired about her problem.

She said, “I am a fairy of a beautiful kingdom named seven-colour. A giant kidnapped me and imprisoned me here. With the help of his magical power he has snatched my seven-coloured flower and now I am unable to fly or use my magic.” After telling her sad story, she again started crying.

Maniha asked her, “Why did the giant do this to you?”

She replied in a low tone, “Because I help everyone, everyone loves me a lot. They all want me to become the queen of the kingdom. The giant himself wants to rule the kingdom. Oh! My God save my kingdom if he becomes king everything will be ruined.”

Maniha asked how she could help her. Fairy said, “If someone brings back that flower to me then I will become able to fight and defeat that giant.”

Maniha promised her that she will help her in bringing back that flower.

The fairy warned her that it could be dangerous for her. But Maniha was determined to help her.

Both the fairy and Maniha started their journey towards seven-colour kingdom that was situated in the middle of the forest.

When they reached there, the fairy told her that without her flower she could not enter the kingdom. So Maniha went inside the kingdom. When she reached near the giant’s palace, it was night and everyone was sleeping. She went inside the palace and started searching for the fairy’s flower. It was almost sunrise when she found a room where the flower was kept. The flower was really magnificent.

She went inside the room and was about to pick the flower, when a parrot sitting in the window started making noise. Due to his noise everyone got to know that someone had touched the flower.

Maniha got frightened. She hurriedly picked the flower and started running towards the gate of the kingdom. The giant ordered his army to follow her and capture her. Maniha tried her best to reach the gate. She ran as fast as she could. As she was running she fell down. Both her knees got wounded and started to bleed. But she did not lose her courage and continued her struggle. At last she managed to reach the gate where the fairy was waiting for her. As she reached there she gave the flower to the fairy and fell unconscious.

When Maniha opened her eyes she found herself in the fairy’s palace. The fairy told her that she had destroyed the giant and his palace. Also with the help of her magical power the fairy had cured her wound. Maniha felt really happy and satisfied after helping the fairy. The fairy and other people of her kingdom thanked Maniha. They all gave her lots of gifts as a way of showing their gratitude.
